The Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Kayano 5 OG “Oasis” is a trip down memory lane for fans of the early the Fieg and ASICS collaborations. The Kith designer gained popularity in the late-2000s with his innovative concepts and use of premium materials on a bevy of ASICS models. Since 2007, Fieg has gone on to create more than 50 sneakers in partnership with ASICS. This 2019 creation comes in the form of an upgraded Gel Kayano 5 OG model. Fiery shades of red and orange overlays pop across a mostly white and grey base with mellow shades of turquoise appearing on tongue, toe, midsole, and outsole. Playing on the idea that each of his sneakers with ASICS take on a particular theme, the Gel Kayano 5 “Oasis” conjures a warm-weather feeling.
